Is November Big Enough for Zelda AND GTA 6?

Is November Big Enough for Zelda AND GTA 6? Two legendary gaming franchises. Two very different generations of gamers. And potentially one very crowded November!
In this episode of The Overwhelmed Gamer Podcast , we're talking about the possibility of a new release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time arriving in the same month as Grand Theft Auto VI .
On one side, you've got Ocarina of Time, a game that helped define 3D gaming and remains one of the most beloved adventures ever made. On the other, GTA 6, one of the most anticipated games in modern gaming history.
But can both games find success releasing so close together? Are they even competing for the same audience?
We get into the nostalgia surrounding Ocarina of Time, the massive expectations for GTA 6, how gaming has changed since the Nintendo 64 era, and whether two very different games can both dominate the conversation.
In this episode, we discuss:
- Why Ocarina of Time remains so influential.
- The expectations surrounding GTA 6.
- Whether nostalgia can compete with modern blockbuster gaming.
- How different generations approach these two franchises.
- Whether releasing in the same month could help or hurt either game.
- Which game we'd be more excited to play!
We want to hear from you!
If both games were available in November, which would you be playing first? Would you revisit Hyrule or head straight into Vice City?
